After a couple of stressful days at the hospital it was nice to come home and spend the afternoon and night at home. Jade was so kind. She knew how to brighten my day. She brought the girls for a visit, after I had taken a nap. Bill fixed some wings and decided to pass the tradition forward. Here he is teaching Isabel and Audrey proper wing technique. I think Audrey will have this down in no time. Isabel is a little more interested in why Mommy is across the counter and the crazy man is trying to get her to pose for this picture! On a more serious manner...we were all called to the hospital Friday morning. Terry's numbers were starting to fail and they felt that when the Brockett kids got here and had some time with their mom, that we were going to have to make a decision about her life support. She had three significant setbacks during the day and we were all dreading the decision that was going to be asked of us. Wendy was the last to fly in. She got to the hospital around 5:30. After giving her some privacy with her mom, Dad asked his pastor to hold a prayer service at Terry's bedside. Dad's pastor has been incredible during this ordeal. Within 5 miniutes of the last amen, Terry's stats went back to normal and her input output (which was a real concern, the drs. thought that the fluid was suffocating her organs) let loose. We laugh about praying for pee. Later that night, her critical care Doctor told Dad that he had witnessed a miracle. He said that there was no other explanation for the dramatic turn around. We are so grateful to God for granting this miracle. We asked for Terry to be comfortable and at peace, even though we didnt want her to leave us, we asked that his will be done. The Drs. still say that she is in critical condition and that we are not out of the woods, but they are amazed at what has happened in the last 24 hours.
Keep us all in your prayers. Thanks!
