We started Kids of the Kingdom this week! I decided that I would commit one year with these kids, since they have not had a director for the last two years. I have been directing them during holidays for the two years, but this is a full time commitment.
We are going to learn a song, make props and do a power point presentation to go along with the song. This month we only have one practise before we sing. We worked very hard to get it all together. The song is "YO HO! Let's Give God The Glory!" They are dressing like the crew on a ship. As you can see in the pictures, we made sailor hats out of newspaper. We wished that we would have been able to decorate the hats but, Argh, (that's sailor talk) time did not permit...we had to take the pictures for the power point presentation. It turned out wonderful. After they sing, I will see if I can figure out how to post it for all.
Please say prayers for my mom, Terry. She is going to have heart surgery in the next few days. We have to wait for all the test to come back in for the exact date. She has a 100% blockage in her left ventricle and some damage from a prior heart attack. As soon as they know how much work has to be done in surgery, they will schedule it.

Wow, Tri Kappa President, KOK director...I am impressed. You are a busy woman.
Hoping your power point and song goes well this morning. Looks like the kids had fun making the hats.
