FIRST DAY, PAST WEEK
This is the first day with this new experience for me. I have been thinking about a blog for several months and now I'm taking the plunge. I will use this to keep friends and family up to date with what my immediate family is up to. I hope it's not too boring!
Last Friday I finished my sweater. It had been in the works since mid January, the weekend I went to southern Indiana for my knitting weekend with my knitting sisters. It was a challenging project and I am glad that it had a successful end. I will take it to Kiln Time for Wednesday night Chix W/Stix to show the girls.... and now, on to Isabel's christening gown;o)
Last week, we spent the week dedicating our lifes to Carol's end of the year dance recital. Monday was dress rehearsal, Thursday and Friday night was show time. Bill was surprised at how much Carol's dancing has improved since her last recital. Miss Terri said she is turning into quite a little dancer!
Saturday I had four different customers needing to see a total of 12 houses. I left the house at 10 am and got back home at 5:30 pm. I thought it would be an exhausting day, but all my clients were so nice that it ended up being a great day, with a possibility of 2 sales! While I was working, Bill planted about 1/2 the garden! I was truly suprised (and greatful). He took over the mom AND dad duties and did a wonderful job. To top it off, he had a toddie poured for me when I walked in the door and took me for a boat ride. The perfect way to end the day.
Over the weekend we celebrated Mother's Day. Bill, myself & Carol had brunch at the Elk's with Maxine, Wendell, Dad, Terry, Jon, Jade, Audrey, Isabel, Stuart, Doris & Josie. A fun time was had by all. Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy, so we were not able to go on the boats.
