No pictures this week. My Aunt Betty McDonald died last week and we had the funeral on Saturday. I wish I would have had my my camera afterwards. Brothers and sisters, neices and nephews, cousins and inlaws gathered at Aunt Dorothy Wood's house for sandwiches and fellowship. The Purdue football tailgaters are part of the crew, but there are others that we dont get to see other than at funeral time.

We sat under the big tree in Aunt Dorothy's yard and caught up on our children AND grandchildren. Aunt Loretta made the trip up from Georgia. It's always a delight to see her. Uncle Tom just had back surgery and is doing very well. Bill and I are hoping that we can get to Florida early next January and spend a couple of days with them. It's been three years since we've been there. Everytime I remind Bill of this, he says "I guess you need to sell more houses". I smile and quickly respond "I guess you need to make more loans." We both love the Keys, so I think we better work harder.

Carol will start school on Friday the 8th. She's ready. It's hard for her, during the summer, when I'm working so much. We get to spend more time during her fall and spring breaks. The markets arent so frantic then. Soon dance and gymnastics will be starting up and she wont be so bored. We are taking our semi annual shopping trip with Grandma Maxine tomorrow. We go to South Bend take Grandma to lunch and then go school shopping.

Lake Manitou opened back up to the public about a month ago. The last two weekends have been very busy. We were going to take Carol skiing last Sunday but there were just too many boats. We will do it one night this week, after all the nasty weekenders go home.
