The day after Christmas, Carol and I jumped the South Shore and went to Chicago with a group of High School friends, their mothers and their daughters. Above you will see Carol Morris and Bailey Jones in the back and Addie Roudebush and Taylor Jones in the front. There were eleven of us in the group. Me, Robin Hale, Mashell Roudebush, Jennifer Goodman, Tracie Jones, Jackie Hale, Mary Meyers and the above girls.
The train drops you off at Millineum Stations. We walked (in the snow) to Watertower Place and had lunch. Afterwards, we caught a bus to the Oriental Theatre to see Addams Family, The Musical. It was very funny. BeBe Neuworth and Nathan Lane were the leads and they were really wonderful. Jokes for the young and the more mature, without offending anyone. I would recommend it!
After the show we did a little shopping and then caught the train back to Chesterton. It had started snowing pretty good by that time, so getting home was slow and steady. We reached our door around 11:30 pm. It was a long day, but it was a day full of memories. I am a big fan of the South Shore now. I can't wait to go again. Our next play is in February. We will see 101 Dalmations, The Musical.
